The Best Gifts for the Money Maker
You all know at least one of us. Maybe you are one of us...
Gift Ideas for an at home entrepeneur - A Money Maker. That's how I describe myself. I'm not talking about someone who just has a job and brings home the bacon. It's way more than that.
I am one of those people who is always looking to make extra cash - legally of course. I don't mean get rich quick schemes; I put in the hard yards. If you are looking for me I will always be calculating a way to make a profit from something. The reason? I want to be financially free by 35 (1 & 1/2 years). I want to spend my time doing what I want to do. And I am looking at every means possible to get there. From taking on extra jobs (like mystery shopping) to having my online Zazzle store.
So for Christmas I don't want a DC (dust collector - like a snow globe) or even jewellery. That just makes me think the money I'm making is flying out the door.
What I want is a gift that will help me do all the little things I do quicker or easier. That way I can achieve my goals faster and buy more presents in return :)

Something to help me create
I read a lens on here about bottlecap pendants and I am now well and truly hooked. It's taking me a while to perfect, and one of the major obstacles is trying to flatten them evenly. I need something that will make it quick and easy.
A Digital Camera - Because a picture is worth a thousand words
We have two digital cameras and a video camera. So why on earth would I want another one? Well, all of those are good cameras. Really good ones.
Being a Squidoo and Zazzle fanatic I am always looking at the world just a little differently. When I'm out at the beach or park with my son I might see a Ladybird on a flower, or my boy might throw me one of his most adorable poses. Either way I don't have a nifty little cheap camera in my bag to ensure I (and you all) don't miss the moment.
If I carried one of our current cameras around in my bag and if it was dropped/stolen I would be devestated.
If it was a cheap-little-light-doesn't-take-up-too-much-room-in-my-already-crowded-handbag type of camera it would be perfect.
A Metal Dectector - Bleep......Bleep.....
I have always wanted one of these. But thinking about it, even when I was a little kid I was a money maker. I always beaded jewellery together to sell to my school friends. And I was ALWAYS looking everywhere I walked for treasure. Yes, you read right - treasure. A coin dropped from someone's pocket, a bead to make a unique piece of jewellery; you get the idea.
The ultimate in treasure hunting meant the need for the ultimate treasure hunter tool and that is and always will be a metal detector. I dreamt of days walking up and down the beach finding old style random coins to add to my collection. I am amazed that I haven't got one yet but the main reason for that is I never seem to get a bargain price. Being a money maker also means I am an extreme money saver. If I can save a dollar, I'll walk a mile. The only exception to this rule is presents. I give good presents and hope for good presents in return. And I have to tell you, Santa is pretty darn good to me.
So psst... This year Santa, as I've been good.... PLEASE can I have a metal detector?
A Can Crusher - Seriously
When I walk with my son to the shops, it drives me insane seeing all the discarded drink cans not to mention all the other rubbish. I know of a scrap metal place just 5 minutes from our house so walking home from the shops is now as much a 'clean the street excercise' as it is a 'money maker excercise'.
I have a dirty old bag I put them in, remove the ringpulls for charity (they make wheelchairs from them) and then stomp with all my might. But being a slight gal it takes a bit of stomping. If I just had a can crusher mounted on the garage door a 35 minute job would be a five minute job. So if you're looking for a unique gift for a money maker, get them this and watch the lightglobe with a dollar sign inside it spark up on top of their head.
The perfect moneybox
I love moneyboxes. I love counting coins. Maybe thats why I work in a bank.
I hate having all the coin mixed in together, I always bag each one seperately so at banking time they just have to weigh it and it's done. What I need is a moneybox that does it for me.
A Diary - Because organisation is the key to success
At the moment, I work part-time, care for my son, run a Zazzle online store, do mystery shopping, and sqeeze any spare time I have into Squidoo and my hobby of learning languages.
Sound easy? Yeah right! Without my trusty diary I would be a mess. There are even days I am so flustered with everything I need to do I have to check my diary to remind myself to put fuel in the car!
